Mississauga & Peel HVAC Inquiry Data
Mississauga HVAC Call Data: What 2,698 Real Customer Contacts Reveal
We classified every one of the 2,698 real customer contacts that reached our Mississauga HVAC shop — 1,224 tracked phone calls (Dec 2025–Jul 2026), 628 written inquiries (Mar 2023–Jul 2026) and 846 Google reviews — to see how Peel-region homeowners actually reach an HVAC company, what they ask about, and how urgently they need us. This page publishes the aggregates: the first original dataset on Mississauga HVAC demand from the phones of one long-running local contractor. Free to cite with a link.
The phone is the repair line; the form is the replacement line
The channel a Mississauga homeowner chooses tells us what they need before they say a word. On the 1,224 tracked phone calls, repair requests outnumber replacement/new-install requests 2.6 to 1 (361 vs 141). On the 628 written inquiries, it flips: replacement/new-install outnumbers repair 2.5 to 1 (277 vs 109). Same company, two different customers.
Intent by channel — full table
| Intent | Calls (1,224) | Forms (628) |
|---|---|---|
| Repair (existing) | 361 | 109 |
| Replace / new install | 141 | 277 |
| Maintenance / tune-up | 155 | 169 |
| Repair-vs-replace undecided | 27 | 16 |
| Other / unstated | 540 | 57 |
An honest note on the fallback share: intent is unstated on 540 of 1,224 calls (44.1%) because tracked-call transcripts include IVR-only fragments, voicemails, wrong numbers and admin calls that carry no service intent — we report that share rather than smoothing it away. On written forms only 57 of 628 (9.1%) are unstated.
One in four calls can’t wait — but almost no forms are urgent
Urgency splits the same way. 307 of 1,224 calls (25.1%) are emergencies (no heat / no cool: 103) or same-day-urgent (204). Written inquiries are the mirror image: 503 of 628 (80.1%) are planned or flexible. If you need us today, you call; if you’re planning a project, you write.
4 in 10 calls arrive in a three-hour morning window
Across the 1,224 tracked calls (America/Toronto local time), 482 (39.4%) land between 8 and 11 AM, and the single busiest hour is 9 AM (148 calls). Call volume tapers through the afternoon and drops off after 5 PM.

Monday is the heaviest day — and a quarter of calls arrive after hours
By day of week, Monday is busiest (230 calls) and Sunday quietest (61). Demand doesn’t respect a 9-to-5:
The average system we’re asked about is 11 years old
Of the 247 contacts that stated a system or home-equipment age, the median is 11 years — squarely in the range where a homeowner has to decide whether to keep repairing or replace. 154 of the 247 described equipment 10 or more years old, 96 were 15+, and 59 were 20+. And 45 homeowners across the whole corpus asked us outright: repair it, or replace it?
Age thresholds (of 247 that stated an age)
| Age of system | Contacts (cumulative) |
|---|---|
| 10 or more years | 154 |
| 15 or more years | 96 |
| 20 or more years | 59 |
Thresholds are cumulative — the 96 systems aged 15+ are a subset of the 154 aged 10+.
What the systems are (supporting context)
Service type was named on 1,456 of 2,698 contacts (54.0%). Framed for our Mississauga service area, the mix is heating-led. This is a directional supporting view — several gas-line and dryer-vent inquiries sit in the unstated bucket — not a headline.
Service type (of 1,456 that named one)
| Service type | Contacts | Share of 1,456 |
|---|---|---|
| Furnace / heating | 619 | 42.5% |
| AC / cooling | 378 | 26.0% |
| IAQ / ducts / thermostat | 201 | 13.8% |
| Water heater | 130 | 8.9% |
| Heat pump | 117 | 8.0% |
| Fireplace / gas appliance | 11 | 0.8% |
HVAC in Peel is a two-season business
Our tracked calls split almost evenly across the year: heating season (Nov–Mar) 534 calls versus cooling season (May–Sep) 567 (43.6% vs 46.3%), with 123 in the April/October shoulder. A Mississauga HVAC company that used to be a winter business now fields nearly as many summer calls. Written inquiries, which reach back 3.4 years, are summer-weighted — they peak in July (97) and June (86).
Local search interest peaks twice a year
Search interest reaching our own site tells the same two-season story from the demand side. Over 16 months (Mar 2025 – Jun 2026), non-brand query-attributed impressions to furnaceking.ca show a winter peak (96,562 in Dec 2025, 98,495 in Jan 2026), an autumn trough (44,435 in Oct 2025), and a summer surge to 148,974 in Jun 2026.

We publish the seasonal shape and within-season contrasts — not year-over-year growth multiples — because impression growth across the window also reflects our own ranking footprint expanding. Source: Google Search Console for furnaceking.ca, Mar 1 2025 – Jun 30 2026; impressions measure how often our pages appeared in Google results per query class — search interest reaching one company’s site, not market-wide search volume.
846 reviews, 4.91 average, 95.2% five-star
Our Google listing carries 846 reviews with a computed average of 4.91 (the listing displays 4.9): 805 are five-star (95.2%), 28 are four-star, and 13 are rated one-to-three stars. 592 reviews (70.0%) carry written text; 254 are rating-only (included in the count, no text signal — none were removed for being unfavourable). We publish this as a trust signal, not as a demand series.
The most common question themes
Across 1,097 question-flagged contacts, the five largest question themes (clustered from the messages themselves) were:
| Question theme | Count |
|---|---|
| Heat pump quotes and options | 31 |
| AC replacement cost and financing | 29 |
| Rebates, promotions and misc HVAC installs | 27 |
| Furnace repair and diagnostic issues | 25 |
| Furnace replacement quote and pricing | 22 |
Pricing, quotes and financing dominate what people ask — which is exactly why the phone-vs-form split matters: the fastest way to answer a quote question is the channel the customer already chose.
Where every number comes from
The corpus: 2,698 classified customer contacts = 1,224 tracked phone-call transcripts + 628 written form inquiries + 846 Google reviews.
Phone calls (WhatConverts, Dec 11 2025 – Jul 21 2026). 1,310 tracked calls → 86 dropped as under-25-second voicemail / hang-up noise → 1,224 kept, of which 1,214 carried transcript text and 10 were kept with neutral rating-style labels (no text). 57 text-message leads are outside the taxonomy scope (counted, then excluded). No calls were WhatConverts-flagged spam and none were internal tests.
Written forms, two deduplicated sources (Mar 10 2023 – Jul 21 2026). From WhatConverts Web Forms (Dec 2025+): 217 submissions → we hand-reviewed every all-fallback item and removed 30 solicitations / scam templates → 187 kept. From the site’s Elementor submissions table: 747 rows → 169 removed as duplicates of WhatConverts web-form leads (WhatConverts treated as canonical; email match within 30 minutes, or no-email match within 5 minutes, time-zone-normalized) → 578 → minus 23 with no text, 38 of our own form-health tests, 27 URL-spam and 3 pattern-spam → 487 classified → hand review removed a further 44 solicitations and 2 test / name-only rows → 441 kept. Forms total: 187 + 441 = 628.
Google reviews (DataForSEO, pulled Jul 21 2026). All 846 reviews on the listing were kept — 592 with text, 254 rating-only (included, no text signal). None were removed for being unfavourable.
Classification. Each contact was classified with claude-sonnet-5 across 127 model calls; one transcript batch failed to parse and was re-classified in a recorded repair run, and 2 straggler items (0.07% of the corpus) remain neutral-labelled in the conservative direction. Blind spot-checks agreed 25/25 on transcripts and 25/25 on reviews; every all-fallback form item was hand-reviewed.
Privacy floor. We publish aggregates only, with a minimum published cell of 5; nothing is suppressed. Review star buckets below the floor (2★ and 3★) are published only as a merged “1–3★ combined: 13.” Customer messages are paraphrased, never quoted, and no personal information appears anywhere on this page.
Search interest. Google Search Console impressions for furnaceking.ca, 16 full months (Mar 1 2025 – Jun 30 2026), query-attributed, brand queries excluded, sorted into four non-overlapping classes; 1,343,571 non-brand impressions. Impressions measure how often our pages appeared in Google results — search interest reaching one company’s site, not market-wide search volume.
What this page is not. It is not a market-share study or a claim about every Mississauga HVAC customer, and it contains no marketing-performance metrics — every call and form count here is a customer-contact volume, never a lead, conversion or attribution figure.

Frequently asked questions
How do Mississauga homeowners contact an HVAC company — phone or form?
Both, but for different reasons. Across 1,224 tracked phone calls, repair requests outnumbered replacement requests 2.6 to 1 (361 vs 141); across 628 written inquiries it flipped, with replacement/new-install outnumbering repair 2.5 to 1 (277 vs 109). The phone is the repair-and-emergency channel; the written form is the replacement-and-planning channel.
What time of day do HVAC calls come in?
In our data, mornings. 482 of 1,224 tracked calls (39.4%) arrived between 8 and 11 AM, with the single busiest hour at 9 AM. Monday was the busiest day (230 calls) and Sunday the quietest (61), and 324 calls (26.5%) arrived outside weekday 8 AM–6 PM business hours.
How urgent are HVAC calls versus written inquiries?
Very different. 307 of 1,224 tracked calls (25.1%) were emergencies or same-day-urgent, while 503 of 628 written inquiries (80.1%) were planned or flexible. Urgent problems get a phone call; planned projects get a written message.
How old are the HVAC systems homeowners ask about?
Of the 247 contacts that stated a system age, the median was 11 years — 154 were 10 or more years old, 96 were 15+, and 59 were 20+. Systems in that age range are why 45 homeowners across the corpus asked us directly whether to repair or replace.
Is HVAC demand in Mississauga seasonal?
It’s a two-season business now. Our tracked calls split almost evenly between heating season (Nov–Mar, 534 calls) and cooling season (May–Sep, 567 calls). Search interest reaching our site echoes this, with a winter peak around December–January and a summer peak of 148,974 non-brand impressions in June 2026.
Where does this data come from?
Three first-party sources: 1,224 tracked phone-call transcripts (WhatConverts, Dec 2025–Jul 2026), 628 written website inquiries (Mar 2023–Jul 2026, deduplicated, spam- and test-filtered, hand-reviewed), and all 846 Google reviews on our listing — plus 16 months of Google Search Console impressions for context. Everything is aggregated with a 5-count publication floor; messages are paraphrased and no personal information is published.
A quarter of the people who call us can’t wait, and most of the people who write are planning ahead — we’re built for both.
Serving Mississauga and the Peel region for 43 years — 4.91★ across 846 Google reviews.
