Heating and Cooling for Homes Across the Town of Caledon
Furnace King is a Mississauga heating and cooling company with over 40 years in business, and we serve homeowners across Caledon from our base on Mattawa Avenue. Caledon is a big town, from Bolton and Mayfield West to farmhouse country, and more than 1,100 households live in homes built in 1920 or earlier.
Whether you need a furnace repaired tonight or you're weighing a replacement, we start with how your home is heated today and what makes sense next. Our technicians are licensed, trained and TSSA certified, we're open 24/7, and quotes are free.
Furnace repair and replacement
We repair and replace natural gas and propane furnaces, so Caledon homes on the Enbridge line and homes on a propane tank are both covered. Our estimator's planning range for a furnace replacement is $3,000 to $8,500, and we price your house after we see it. See our new and replacement furnaces.
Air conditioning
Repair, tune-ups and replacement for central air conditioners. Our estimator's planning range for a central AC replacement is $3,000 to $10,000. A home that has never had cooling ductwork usually costs more, so we look at the house first. See our air conditioning services.
Heat pumps
A cold-climate heat pump heats and cools with one system, which matters for homes without a gas line. Our estimator's range is $5,000 to $15,000 before rebates. We're listed on the Home Renovation Savings heat pump contractor directory, which isn't an endorsement. See our heat pump services.

Maintenance
A yearly tune-up and inspection catches small problems before the first cold snap. Our HVAC maintenance visits cover your furnace, air conditioner or heat pump, and our service plans keep that care on a schedule.
Tankless water heaters
We supply, install and service tankless water heaters, which give you hot water on demand and free up the floor space a tank takes. It's a sensible add-on when we're already replacing your heating equipment. More on tankless water heaters.
Emergency service
No heat in the middle of the night? We're open 24/7 for emergency heating and cooling calls. If you smell gas, leave the house right away and call from outside.
Not sure which system fits your property? Call (905) 564-5464 or send the form above and we'll talk it through.
Is Your Caledon Home on the Gas Line? It Changes the Furnace Decision
Natural gas doesn't reach every road in Caledon. Enbridge Gas describes its community expansion work as bringing natural gas to communities that have used other energy sources such as propane or wood, and Ontario's Natural Gas Expansion Program lists a Caledon project, Humber Station, for areas without gas service. Enbridge's project page shows potential construction along Humber Station Road and Old Church Road starting in 2027.
So the first question is simple: is there a gas line at your address? Enbridge will confirm availability if you send your address through its community expansion form. If you're on the line, a gas furnace replacement is usually the straightforward route, and the Town of Caledon's building permit page lists replacing a furnace or boiler in a house among the projects that don't need a building permit.
If you're not on the line, you have two routes: a propane furnace, which we install and service, or a cold-climate air-source heat pump, which heats and cools without any fuel delivery. Ontario's Home Renovation Savings program pays $1,250 per ton, up to $7,500, for homes heated with electricity, oil, propane or wood. Enbridge natural gas customers get $500 per ton, up to $2,000. Pre-approval is required before installation.
The Town's permit page doesn't mention heat pumps, but it does list installing or modifying a heating system as needing a permit, so we confirm the requirement with the Town and file the permit for you when one is needed. Homes that are on the gas line can also pair a heat pump with a furnace; our hybrid heat pump guide explains how.
Before You Replace a Heating System in Caledon
Settle these few things before anyone quotes. They prevent most of the surprises.
- Check for a gas line. Ask Enbridge Gas to confirm availability at your address, because the answer decides which systems are on the table.
- Write down what heats the house now: gas, oil, propane, electricity or wood. Home Renovation Savings heat pump rebates are set by it.
- Note the age of the furnace and the house. About 3 in 10 Caledon households live in homes built in 1980 or earlier, so the ductwork and insulation are worth a look.
- Ask about permits. Replacing a furnace in a house doesn't need a Town of Caledon building permit, but installing or modifying a heating system does, and we file it when it's needed.
- Get rebate pre-approval before a heat pump goes in. Work done before approval isn't eligible.
- Ask about financing: it's available on heat pumps as well as on furnaces and air conditioners.
Frequently Asked Questions About Heating in Caledon
How much does a new furnace cost in Caledon?
Our estimator's planning range for a furnace replacement in the GTA is $3,000 to $8,500. Where your home lands depends on the efficiency you choose, the venting and the size of the house. That's a starting range, not a quote. We price your home after a visit, and quotes are free.
Do I need a building permit to replace a furnace in Caledon?
The Town of Caledon's building permit page lists replacing a furnace or boiler in a house among the projects that don't need a building permit. Installing an air conditioning unit in a house is on that list too. Installing or modifying a heating system does need one, so ask before adding a heat pump.
Is there a rebate for a heat pump in Caledon?
Ontario's Home Renovation Savings program pays $500 per ton, up to $2,000, for cold-climate air-source heat pumps in homes heated with Enbridge natural gas. It pays $1,250 per ton, up to $7,500, for homes heated with electricity, oil, propane or wood. Pre-approval is mandatory, and we're on the program's contractor directory.
Can I get natural gas at my Caledon address?
Not every address has it. Enbridge Gas confirms availability if you send your address through its community expansion form, with no obligation. Its Humber Station Road and Old Church Road project in Caledon shows potential construction starting in 2027 and finishing in 2028, so check your street rather than assume. If gas isn't coming to your road, we also install and service propane furnaces.
How much does a heat pump cost in Caledon?
Our estimator's range for a heat pump installation is $5,000 to $15,000 before any confirmed rebate. The final price depends on the capacity your house needs, the electrical work and whether ductwork is already in place. Our heat pump cost guide walks through the pieces.
